GREAT POND

Great pond is a larger pond than the House pond and also next to the car park. It
has Common Carp, Leather Carp, Mirror Carp, wild Carp, Crucian Carp, Roach,
Rudd and Tench. The carp go up to 12lb and the tench go up to 4lb. All baits work
well, bread and dog biscuits work well for the carp and maggot works well for roach
rudd and tench. Great pond is about 3-5ft deep and there is an island, lilly pads,
weed beds and reeds. All methods work well and somebody even caught fly
fishing. Being close to the car park, toilets, tea rooms and other facilities it is very
popular with a wide range of anglers.
